CreateDevice failed, Error code: 0x8876086A | Media Player Classic

A friend suddenly could not play video as this error of Media Player Classic:
The DVD device was DVD region code 3, and that was right.
Tried to follow Media Player Classic Error code: 0x8876086A to update display card driver but not solve it.
Because the result of the DVD device tested with another computer was normal, thought that might be only a question from the Media Player Classic. Then replaced it with VLC media player. Then the friend could play a video now.
