IBM - TS3100 Tape Library Medium Removal Prevented by Drive

Environment

• IBM TS3100 Tape Library
• Symantec Backup Exec 12.5

Introduction
Can't inventory the libirary

This library are continuity to be offline, although tried to set this to be online

Solutions
Find this is caused by the tape. Can get an error inventory status via the web site

If wanna remove this, would get an error

Error: illegal request, medium removal prevented by drive - Code: 45

Finally, not find any solutions, but this

1. Shutdown the tape drive
2. Shutdown the server
3. Power on the tape drive
4. Power on the server

Now, this is backed to be the normal
