WSUS SP2 - Installing Windows Internal Database SP4 Gets "Fatal Error during Installation"

Environment

• Micrsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) SP2

Introduction
Get an error 29528 - Fatal error during installation, when installing Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Windows Internal Database SP4

Procedures
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.X\Setup\

• Delete SQLGroup & FTSGroup
• From Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925976), there should be anothers here, but not find

Then, go to "Add or Remove Programs" to uninstall the Windows Internal Database, and then delete %windir%\sysmsi\ssee

However, there is another error, when resinstalling

Error MWUSSetup ParseCommandLine: Failed to open SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Update Services\Server\Setup registry key (Error 0x80070002: The system cannot find the file specified.), when installing

Now, go to edit registry - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Update Services\Server\Setup

• Set "wYukonInstalled"=dword:00000000 from =dword:00000001

And also, delete WSUS service

C:\sc delete wsusservice

Finally, can reinstall WSUS SP2, and the Windows Internal Database patch- KB2463332
